Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is fairly easy and colorful one into the Annapurna region. Throughout the Ghorepani Ghandruk trek can enjoy spectacular mountains, dense forest with rhododendrons blossom in the spring and icy waterfalls which adds extra excitement in your trip.
Ghorepani Ghandruk trek offers magnificent view of Himalayas from Poon Hill. We trek through beautiful small villages inhabited by the Gurungs, Magars, thick rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurna and Machapuchare Hamil. The stunning sunrise view on Mountains is the best view which is observed through Poon Hill when the sun touches the snow-capped summits Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machapuchere, you will see magic, before your eyes. This is an easier trek that can be accomplished with experiencing ethnic culture and tradition.
Drive to Nayapul from Pokhara and you will start your trek to Ullery. At a 30minutes walk from Nayapul you will reach to Birethanti, here you have to show your trekking permit and TIMS in the National Park Office. Well reach to Ullery (1950m) and stay overnight.
After having breakfast early in the morning, well have trek to Ghorepani (2850m). Well walk through the jungle for( 4-5 hrs). Take a rest in Ban Thanti for 45min. Again we walk to Nange Thanti for (2hrs) and rest here for 45min. After that well reach Ghorepani within 1 and half hour and stay overnight.
Wakeup early in the morning. Hiking to Poon Hill to see the Sunrise view and Paradise views like Dhaulagiri & Annapurnas. After that well back to hotel to take a breakfast and start treks the trail climbs gently along the ridge with peak views through the trees that beckon you forward. We reach Tadapani, a typical tea-house village with mountain peak views obscured by afternoon clouds. Past Tadepani we descend, sometimes steeply, for another hour through green forest and arrive at Chuile and stay overnight.
This was to be an easy day. A quick descent to the river and back up the other side and then after a short â€œNepali flatâ€ stretch, just three hour more, we would be in Chomrong in time for lunch. Stay overnight in Jhinudanda.
Jhinudanda is a good place to stop for lunch, as 20 minutes walk from here are welcome hot springs. From lunch the trail descends through terraced fields to the Modi Khola River before climbing steeply to Lhandrung. Directly opposite on the far side of the valley is Ghandrung, the second largest Gurung village in Nepal. The views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare are outstanding. After 2 hours from Landrung we reach at Tolka.
The day starts with steps climb through the forest until Deurali. Deurali gives you a nice views of Pokhara valley on the south and the Annapurna ranges on the north. We then descends to Dhampus, a beautiful village.
Finally, we finished our trek after descending to Phedi and drive back to Pokhara. 30 minutes
